Kalahari Park

The Kalahari - or Kgalagadi - is the largest sand area in the world as it stretches from the northwest of South Africa well up into Angola. It is a semi-desert, with red sand dunes and sparse hardy vegetation, which prevent the dunes from wandering as they do in the nearby Namib Desert. The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is a National Park shared by South Africa and Botswana.

The first images were taken from our trip through Namaqualand and Augrabies National Park to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
